Your House Is the Project, Not Just the Walls

Most painting jobs get sold one room or one wall at a time. A house painting project is different. It looks at your home as a single, connected space, where the entry sets up the living room, the trim ties the bedrooms together, and the exterior color sets the tone before anyone walks through the door.

Peacock Painting plans house painting projects that way. We look at how the whole home flows, how the outside reads from the street, and how long each surface needs to last in the Pacific Northwest. Then we build one plan that covers all of it.

That approach is why so many Eastside homeowners hire us for full repaints in Bellevue, Medina, Clyde Hill, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, and Sammamish. One crew, one schedule, one point of contact, and a finished home you actually want to come back to.

House Painting Projects We Take On

Whether your home needs a complete refresh or a focused update, we scope the work around the house and the people living in it.

Whole-Home Repaints
Whole-Home Repaints

Whole-Home Repaints

Every painted surface inside and out, planned as one project. We sequence the work so your household keeps functioning while we move through the house room by room and wall by wall.

Partial-Home Painting
Partial-Home Painting

Partial-Home Painting

Just the main floor, just the bedrooms, or just the front of the house. We handle focused projects with the same prep and finish standards as a full repaint, scaled to fit your budget.

Repainting Older Homes
Repainting Older Homes

Repainting Older Homes

Established Medina and Clyde Hill homes often hide layers of old paint, settled cracks, and worn trim. We assess what is under the surface before quoting, so older homes get the prep they actually need.

Newer Home Refreshes

Builder-grade paint fades faster than most homeowners expect. We update flat builder finishes with richer color and more durable coatings that hold up to family life.

Interior & Exterior Together

Interior & Exterior Together

Combining both into one project saves time, coordination, and money. We schedule exterior work around dry weather windows and keep interior work moving on rainy days.

Color & Curb Appeal Updates

Color & Curb Appeal Updates

A color change can make a tired house feel new without moving a single wall. We guide the palette so the inside and outside of your home finally feel like they belong together.

How a Home Feels From the Inside if Painted Properly

How a Home Feels From the Inside if Painted Properly

Interior paint shapes how comfortable a home feels every single day. The right wall color makes a living room feel warm at night. The right finish keeps a kitchen washable and a bathroom resistant to steam. Get it wrong, and even a beautiful house feels off.

Our interior work covers living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, ceilings, and all the trim and millwork that frames them. Ceilings get the right technique for smooth, textured, or popcorn surfaces. Trim and door casings get crisp, hand-brushed lines that make the whole room look finished.

Done well, interior painting does more than look good. It protects your walls from daily wear, makes rooms easier to clean, and adds real value when it comes time to sell. For a room-by-room breakdown, see our interior painting services.

How a Home Reads From the Street When Painted by Pr

Your home’s exterior does two jobs at once. It shapes curb appeal, and it shields the house from constant Pacific Northwest moisture. Both matter, and both come down to good paint applied to well-prepared surfaces.

We paint siding, trim, fascia, soffits, front doors, garage doors, and the architectural accents that give a house its character. Each material gets the right product, from wood and fiber cement to engineered siding and cedar shake.

A strong exterior coat seals out rain, blocks UV fade, and slows the wood rot our climate is famous for. It is one of the highest-return upgrades a homeowner can make. See how we approach materials and weather on our exterior painting services page.

The House Painting Process

Choosing the Right Finish for Each Surface

Two homes can pick the same color and look completely different based on the finish. Sheen affects durability, washability, and how much a wall hides or shows its flaws.

Flat & Matte

Zero shine and the softest look. Best for ceilings, low-traffic bedrooms, and walls where you want imperfections to disappear.

Eggshell

A low, subtle sheen that wipes clean. The most popular choice for living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms in everyday homes.

Satin

A soft glow that handles scrubbing well. A strong pick for kitchens, kids’ rooms, and busy entryways.

Semi-Gloss

Noticeable shine and high moisture resistance. Ideal for trim, doors, bathrooms, and anywhere that needs frequent wiping.

Specialty Coatings

Mildew-resistant exterior systems, cabinet-grade enamels, and elastomeric coatings for surfaces with specific demands.

Premium Paint Systems

We match the paint line to the surface and the climate, not just the color. The right system is what makes a repaint last years instead of seasons.

Not only were they on time and on budget, but the quality of their work is 1st class. We re-did every door, (14 of them), and the entire interior of the house. Detail oriented, willing to go above and beyond (they helped me re-hang my pictures), and we’re always professional and courteous. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
We recently hired Peacock Painting to paint the exterior of our home, and the entire experience was fantastic. From the initial estimate to the final walkthrough, their team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The project was completed on schedule, and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Our house looks better than we imagined, and we’ve already received compliments from neighbors. If you’re looking for a reliable painting company that delivers great results, I would definitely recommend John’s team.

Ion and John did a great job in our Kirkland home. We hired them for interior painting of our entire house and results are outstanding! Price was very reasonable and I loved the fact that business owners are doing the work themselves.

We recently hired Peacock Painting for our house exterior painting and had a great experience. From the beginning, the team was easy to work with, showed up on time, and explained the whole process. They did a thorough pressure wash and prep before starting, which made us feel confident the paint would last.

The exterior paint job turned out beautiful. The siding and trim look clean and even, and the house honestly looks brand new. They also helped us confirm the right exterior paint colors and made sure everything was protected during the project.

The crew kept the area tidy and finished the work when they said they would. If you’re looking for a dependable painting contractor for exterior house painting, siding painting, or repainting your home exterior, Peacock Painting did a really solid job for us.

So happy with Peacock!! Bought my house with all the interior walls being cedar planks with decades of staining and pets marking territory. Johnny and his team covered every inch of my house so thoroughly protecting my belongings. They layered the entire house with oil primer and let it dry before painting. I was very impressed with their knowledge and recognized exactly what needed to be done and how. Everywhere I tried to paint the yellow would surface and look horrible. Everywhere peacock painted, stayed the exact color it was supposed to with such precision and cleanliness! Will use for all my projects in the future!

These guys are consummate professionals. They work extremely hard with meticulous attention to detail. They bring a wealth of knowledge, skills and capabilities to the job. We had them lime wash all of our bathrooms and a large den. They also installed a wallpaper mural and wallpapered the kitchen and a bedroom.  Finally, they replaced and raised ceilings in three rooms. All of this work made an enormous impact to improving our home. These guys are true artists: their lime wash installations are exceptional works of art. Not only are they talented but they are kind, considerate, and lovely people to work with. We can’t say enough good things about them and feel fortunate to have found them.  A+++++++

House Painting Questions We Hear Most

Most interiors look their best for seven to ten years between repaints. Exteriors in our wet climate usually need attention every five to ten years, depending on the siding material, sun exposure, and how well the last job was prepped.

Both matter, just in different ways. Exterior paint protects your home from moisture and rot, so it is the higher priority when siding or trim is failing. Interior paint affects comfort and daily living. If your budget allows, doing both at once is the most efficient option.

A single-room repaint can take a day or two. A full interior usually runs five to eight working days, and a full exterior runs five to ten, depending on size, weather, and prep. We give you a realistic timeline in your estimate.

No. We move and cover furniture for you as part of the project. Heavy pieces get shifted to the center of the room and wrapped, floors get protected, and everything goes back where it belongs when we finish.

Eggshell suits most living areas, satin holds up in busy spaces like kitchens and kids’ rooms, and semi-gloss is best for trim, doors, and bathrooms. We recommend the right finish for each surface during your color guidance step.

Interiors can be painted year-round. Exterior work depends on dry, mild weather, so late spring through early fall is the reliable window in the Seattle area. Booking early helps you lock in those limited dry-season dates.
